End of Fiscal Year Report 2025-2026
So many people helped make this year a wonderful one, from our donors to our mission partners to our church leaders. In this end-of-year report, you’ll see how the fingerprints of their compassion and kindness are all over so many initiatives, sharing the love of Christ with so many people in our church, city, and world.
The Heart of the City Foundation was created by the congregation of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, and one of our great joys is honoring our founding belief that this foundation exists to sustain and extend the reach of FPCO so that our church may continue to flourish in the heart of our city. You can see in the pie graph labeled “Impact on First Presbyterian Church of Orlando” all the ways our donors have impacted the congregation of FPCO this year.
They helped to upgrade the sound system in the Reformation Chapel and to upgrade the sound, video, and lighting equipment in Lee Fellowship Hall. These projects have enriched the various events that take place in these spaces—from memorial services to children’s choir practices, from worship services to special events.
Their generosity also made it possible for us to once again take part in the lives of the young people in Orlando Heart of the City Fellows and of the artists in Arts Fellowship Orlando (AFO). You may have gotten a taste of their impact through reading the stories of Orlando Fellow Director Bret Allen and AFO alums Camara Gaither and Lawrence Rooney on our blog. If you haven’t read these stories already, we encourage you to do so!
We also had the privilege of awarding scholarships to 62 students—Weekday School, The Christ School, undergraduate, and graduate—studying everything from theology to nursing to engineering to history to journalism. We’re excited for each of these students as they begin at their respective institutions in the fall to receive the mentorship and academic rigor they need to grow their talents and skills, ultimately sharing the love and light of God wherever they go.
Because of our donors’ investment, we also granted significant resources to 13 Christ-centered missions: Central Care Mission, CCO Florida, Choices Women’s Center, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Lifework Leadership Orlando, Light of Orlando YoungLife, One Purse, Paving the Way Foundation, Reformed Theological Seminary, Samaritan Village, The Christ School, The Jobs Partnership of Orlando, and Third Millennium Ministries.
Each of these organizations reaches people with the love and hope of Jesus Christ, serving those who are unhoused, students, business leaders, those who have been rescued from trafficking, and others. The pie graph labeled “Total Kingdom Impact” broadly illustrates how we invested their resources into the Kingdom this year. We hope you feel encouraged by this report, and fulfilled knowing some of the ways our church’s endowment has blessed people in our church, city, and world.
