Our Greatest Commitment
It’s our joy and honor to pour resources back into the life of our congregation year after year through First Presbyterian Church of Orlando’s ministries and through caring for the church’s facilities. The Heart of the City Foundation was created in 1979 in response to concerns whether our church would be able to stay in Downtown Orlando or if we would have to move due to financial struggles. A committee of members from the congregation came together and established this Foundation as a way to provide for the church for generations, ensuring the continued presence of our church in the heart of our city.

Upgraded the sound systems in the Reformation Chapel & Lee Fellowship Hall
Sponsored spoken word poet Aretha Rodney McDonald & speaker Andy Crouch for FPCO’s 150th anniversary celebration
Provided a $5,000 stipend for each artist of Arts Fellowship Orlando’s 2026 cohort to create their original work
2025
Sponsored the 2025-2026 cohort of Orlando Heart of the City Fellows
Renovated the floors in Lee Fellowship Hall
Provided a bus for the Young at Heart ministry to help seniors attend meetings & events
Provided a $5,000 stipend for each artist of Arts Fellowship Orlando’s 2025 cohort to create their original work
