Heart of the Season 2025 Recap
Every year, we have the pleasure of hosting the Heart of the Season, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and the generosity of so many Covenant Partners through the Heart of the City Foundation. On December 4th, 2025, we gathered together with Foundation Champions, Legacy Society members, Fund Sponsors and Donors, First Pres church leaders, and our trustees. Along with phenomenal food, we enjoyed brilliant entertainment, thanks in part to the talent of several of our Arts Fellowship Orlando alumni.
Emmanuel Garilus, 2025 Amateur Night Grand Finale Winner at The Apollo Theatre, delighted us at the start of the evening with his saxophone. During the Words & Worship portion of our evening, Orlando Poet Laureate Camara Gaither performed a spoken word piece, “Heart of the Season,” enchanting us with her heartfelt delivery. Then Melissa Ramb, singer and Director of Choristers at Cathedral Church of Saint Luke, led us in “Silent Night” and “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” In addition to these AFO alumni, we were blessed by Laura Sherwood on the piano throughout the entire evening.
It’s not every day we get to fellowship with each other like this, each person present passionate about sustaining and extending the reach of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. It was truly a night to remember, and we’re so grateful for all who were able to come.
