Catherine was anxious—she was a senior in college with no solid plan for her future. She felt full of uncertainty—lost.

Then Catherine joined Heart of the City Foundation’s Orlando Fellow’s Program. In the program, she experienced the generous sponsorship by HOCF donors as well as spiritual formation and development.

Through the Orlando Fellows program, Catherine says, “I received clarity on integrating faith and work in post-grad life. I learned to ask the Lord boldly for direction and received mentorship and older wisdom on following God’s will. Now I feel confident in discerning the Lord’s calling for my life.”

Two experiences especially stood out for Catherine. The first was their mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The second was receiving personal counseling. They were deeply impactful experiences, growing and deepening her faith in Jesus Christ. She says, “My knowledge and understanding of who God is, how He is with me and guiding me, and confidence in our relationship grew through the elements of the Fellows.”

She believes her time in the Fellows Program was absolutely invaluable. Because of the Fellows, she feels like she better understands how to integrate her faith into all aspects of her life. She is so grateful that her post-graduate life began with the Fellows, and that she will be able to carry her new spiritual knowledge into all that comes next.

Catherine says, “I can confidently say that I cannot imagine my life without doing Fellows. While this sentence sounds dramatic, it is true.”

Now Catherine is more grounded in her faith and confident about taking on her future knowing God is with her.  She is excited for the years ahead! Instead of feeling insecure about her future, she finally feels ready.
